PARMESEAN CRUSTED CHOPS

Delicious and hearty this recipe features something many keto recipes lack, a hearty gravy!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2lbs pork chops

  • 1 cup parmesan cheese

  • 1 T black pepper

  • 1/2 T garlic powder

  • 1/2 T onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 8 T butter (or bacon grease)

  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese

  • 1/2 cup half n half

RECIPE STEPS:

  1. Preheat oven to 375’F

  2. Add parmesan, black pepper, garlic and onion powders to a bowl and stir. This is your coating!

  3. Take pork chops and firmly press into coating mixture in both sides

  4. In a non stick skillet on medium-high heat, add a small amount of non stick spray or bacon grease. Once melted, add the pork chops.

  5. Sear both sides of the pork chop until golden brown. About 2 mins each side

  6. Place the pork chops on an oven tray and place in over for 15 mins or until they reach an internal temp of 165. Pull out and let rest.

  7. While the pork chops bake, take your butter and melt it in the pan you used to sear the pork. Then add in the remaining coating mixture.

  8. Then add your cottage cheese. Continue to mix this mixture at medium heat until the cottage cheese is melted and stringy.

  9. Add in half and half slowly while stirring continuously.

  10. Continue to stir until it reaches a simmer. Once it reaches a simmer continue to stir until it reaches nappe consistency, ie. you can slide you finger through it on the back of a spoon and it does not touch again quickly. Do not leave the gravy unattended at any step!

  11. Serve the gravy over top the pork chops and enjoy.
