THANKSGIVING RECIPE ROUND-UP!

Yes, Thanksgiving is a few weeks away but I wanted to help you get started with your plan for the day now when it comes to your menu. Here I am sharing some of our team’s favorite recipes that not only make staying on your plan for the holiday easier but are also all totally delicious! We have tested all of these recipes ourselves (okay, except for one and I’ll explain why when I get to it!)

It may seem simple to make keto substitutions on a table that is usually focused around a big turkey or a roast, but when you dive into all the accompanying dishes the carbs and sugar add up fast. How do you make a good gravy without flour? What’s Thanksgiving without mashed potatoes? These recipes we share will answer these questions and more.

Appetizers

Obviously A charcuterie board with your favorite meats, cheese, olives, and more is a great option if you need to find an appetizer to present your guests or bring with you. But if you want to go the extra mile or provide some wider ranging options, this list is a great place to start.

Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

The Meats

Honestly, I am not sure I needed to provide options here because most of us have our tried and true turkey recipes but just in case you are looking at a new way to prep that bird, or something besides turkey, these are some favorites.

Keto Garlic & Rosemary Roasted Leg of Lamb

Stuffings

Is it stuffing or is it dressing? Who cares, it is delicious and it can indeed be keto without resorting to the way too expensive and questionable keto breads you find in stores. There might be a few extra steps to get these recipes right but they are worth it!

Carnivore Bread Stuffing (Featuring Coach Jon’s original carnivore bread recipe!)

Keto Sausage Stuffing

Carrie Brown’s Keto Waffle Stuffing (This is the one I haven’t tried but the idea is pretty epic and I have yet to be let down by a Carrie Brown recipe in my life!)

Side Dishes

Can you love on turkey alone on Thanksgiving? Sure! But you don’t have to! Again, these are great to prepare at home or bring along to a gathering.

Roasted Mashed Cauliflower

The Best Keto Mashed Cauliflower

Roasted Cauliflower Mac n Cheese

Keto Scalloped Turnips

Keto Green Bean Casserole

Gravies & Sauces

Keto gravy has long been a holy grail of sorts, especially when you are using thickeners that we are all not too familiar with like Xanthan Gum. Whatever you do, don’t believe any recipe that says you can make an old fashioned roux with almond or coconut flour. You can’t. You end up with a grainy mess. So yes, there’s a recipe here with Xanthan but also some without. Gravy is certainly not a necessity at all on a Thanksgiving table but can be a tasty addition especially with these deeply flavorful choices!

Sugar Free Cranberry Sauce

Delish Keto Gravy

Keto Mushroom Gravy

Low Carb Gravy without Xanthan Gum

Desserts

Whether or not you will be preparing dessert on Thanksgiving is a personal decision but know there are some options that taste great and can be a macro friendly treat. Here’s a few ideas that are pretty simple and also easily portioned!

Keto Pie Crust (Sweet & Savory Varieties!)

Pumpkin Cream Cookies

Sugar Free Pecan Pie

Keto Pumpkin Cheesecake

Whether you use any of these recipes or not we hope they will inspire some creativity on your table this holiday!
